Mountain and Forest Walks, Bisses – fantastic walks in the ancient forests or along the famous Bisse walkways (8 are available), higher mountain walks using the chair lift to Tracouet or Plan du Fou from Siviez. there are 250 km of marked paths, crossing through varied landscapes and available to all levers of hiker. Nearby is the ancient Praz forest, with 400 year old trees, lakes and gentle paths. Incredible facilities for walking. A new brochure has been published presenting 20 walking suggestions, “the bisses””, “thematic paths”, “through the villages”,”in the mountains” . there is a “panoramic path”, “sculpture path”, a “barefoot” and “Pinecone” path
Many lifts run throughout the summer, so you can also enjoy the walks without having the uphill strain and you can take bikes up the lifts
Mountain Biking – easy local routes, down hill routes taking the lift to Tracouet, the famous “Tour du Mont Fort”, Siviez and Veysonnaz. Many local bike hire companies (we recommend Justin at Magique4VTT and well mapped and signposted routes. Nendaz caters for families and more gentle rising as well as the more serious and ‘hard core’ mountain biking. Electric bikes can even be rented!

Adventure Park, Recreation for the family – Easier biking rides are also found in Sion, along the Rhone and around the Sion Lakes. There are also Zip Wires and an adventure park at Adventure Park, Domaine Bourgeoisial des Iles. Our kids love this, there are three levels suitable from 5 upwards and its very well managed with local instructors and a closed loop safety system – open from May to October
Swimming and Tennis – Nendaz outdoor local pool 1km away, with tennis courts. It is an amazing setting and panoramic view, maybe one of the highest open air pools in the world – certainly with the best view
There is a climbing wall near the central area / close to Co-op centre
