What they say about Nendaz

Trip Advisor Nendaz  “Great family resort – summer and winter”

We have taken our small children here in both the summer and winter. It is a great base for skiing in the Verbier region and much cheaper and more child-friendly than Verbier. Arc En Ciel – the children’s ski school in Siviez is great. The children love it; so no guilt when you leave them. The skiing suits most levels. I am a beginner / intermediate and my husband is advanced and never skies on piste – we both find lots to do year after year. In the summer the weather is beautiful and there is a great Lido – plus all the usual walking + a kids club.

Swiss Tourist Office

Nendaz offers a richly varied children’s programme and has been awarded the ‘Families Welcome’ seal of quality. There are child-minding facilities for toddlers; toy hire; craft programmes; footpaths suitable for pushchairs; and playgrounds: absolutely everything for our smaller visitors.

Telegraph Ski

Nearly 100 lifts access more than 400km of runs, including some of the best lift-served off-piste in the Alps. Scored Tortin as one of the top ten steep down-hill runs in the world.

Daily Mail

The Daily Mail called Nendaz “The Thinking Man’s Verbier” in an article about Nendaz (Daily Mail) describing its strengths as family oriented yet giving access to the incredible 4 Vallees and Verbier ski area “where else does Santa parachute in on Christmas eve”

Snow Guide

Snow Guide rates Verbier one of the world’s Top Five places to ski powder. Snow Guide Top 5

The area has always attracted skiers looking for adventure and off-piste routes that suit all ability levels. Marked itineraries mean that relative novices to off-piste skiing can experience powder snow conditions on un-groomed slopes when they are open. Vallon d’Arby is a classic example and one of the world’s great lift accessed off-piste valleys. But there’s so much more, Mt Gele with its 360 degrees of steep off-piste playground, the famous back side of Mt Fort, Stairway to Heaven’s short, sharp walk and angelic powder bowl, Highway right next door, Cat Walk down to the dam, Hidden Valley – good luck finding that one, Rock Garden which has got nothing to do with AC/DC, Barry’s Bowl – he was a dog you know, Marlena, Croix de Coeur, Rock & Roll and of course not forgetting Bruson, the little ski area next door with lots of oomph. And that’s just the start.
